My Journey

Bachelor of Kinesiology: Exercise Science
Certified Personal Trainer
I've been active my whole life, devoting most of my childhood and teen years to playing a high
level of soccer. When I hit around 17, I started to burn out. With my passion for soccer
dwindling, I felt lost. Over the next few months I lost muscle and gained body fat because, well,
I wasn't playing competitive soccer 6 days a week!
I decided to get serious about all things health and fitness. I started eating cleaner, designing
my own workouts, and I lost about 20lbs. From there I became a certified personal trainer
and got my Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology. Through this education I figured out all of the
areas I was going wrong. I revamped my approach to eating and training and learned what
methods truly work, no crash diets or fad workouts over here!
I started my personal training business during the completion of my degree. It originated
with training only a couple of clients in-home, or leading 5am bootcamps in the park.
Since then I have expanded to opening my own gym where I help a wide variety of clientele
lose weight, build muscle to reshape their bodies, reduce pain, and develop a healthier
relationship with food.
I believe in healing through movement and integrating healthy lifestyle choices into the demands of everyday life - this is the only way to make your successful outcome a permanent
one.
My workouts are simple (the basics work!), yet challenging and effective. The emphasis will
always be on proper form and mobility over chasing numbers and how much you can lift.
When I'm not in the gym coaching, writing online programs, or working out myself, I can be
found spending time with family and friends, trying out new recipes, or searching for Frenchies to pet!
